On May 25th, 2025, Akarsh pulled off the ultimate plot twist.
What Shivani thought was a content creator networking event—complete with free photoshoots and a reason to dress up—was actually months in the making: a surprise proposal crafted with intention, love, and a small army of friends and family working behind the scenes.
The weekend itself was carefully orchestrated. Arpit and Jinal, their best man and maid of honor, had helped organize a birthday weekend for Akarsh—a perfect distraction to keep Shivani from suspecting anything. Meanwhile, Akarsh’s parents picked up Shivani’s parents and made sure everyone arrived at the venue early. His sister and her brother tag-teamed the final details and made sure Shivani didn’t catch on.
When they arrived, Akarsh suggested they take a walk to explore the venue and snap a few photos, just as any good creator would. The venue, handpicked by Akarsh was intentional: a romantic garden-style setting that felt like the Italian villa proposal Shivani had always imagined… but with the added bonus of everyone they loved being just a few steps away.
As their photographer guided them through poses, Akarsh gave him the cue. The camera turned, the moment paused—and then Akarsh dropped to one knee.
